How to Check the Cutting and Grinding Wheels?

Before installation, the cutting and grinding wheels must undergo a rigorous inspection, the wheel with cracks and other defects is absolutely not allowed to install and use.

1. Check the wheel mark.

The wheel that not marked or labeled unclear or unable to check, confirm wheel characteristics, regardless of whether there are defects, isn’t applicable.

2. Grinding wheel defects inspection.

By visual and sound checking methods:

(1). Visual inspection through the naked eye or with other instruments to check if cracks, damages or other defects on the wheel surface.

(2). Sound inspection, also known as percussion test, mainly for internal defects. Using a small wooden hammer to knock the wheel, and the normal wheel will make crisp sound, but if the sound is boring or hoarse, indicating a problem.

3. Wheel rotary intensity test.

The sample testing of rotation strength should be carried out to the same types of wheel, wheel batches without the strength testing are prohibited to install and use.
